Other Tips:
  1. To make sure the crab cake you’re going to cook is really delicious, buy the freshest crab meat you can find. Most people go crabbing to make sure the crab is really fresh but if you don’t have the luxury to do this, go to a reputable store where you can buy fresh crabmeat.

  2. For your crab cakes, go for the large chunk of meat you can find at the crab’s body.

  3. Since you’re going to mix the ingredients together, it needs binding. So use mayonnaise or egg, or you can combine the two.

  4. Do not overmix. To taste the crab in your crab cake, avoid mixing it all together. Make sure you keep the lump meat whole.

  5. Many recipes use bread crumbs for coating, in this recipe, we did skip the breading. If you’re particular with the crab’s flavor, the breading will interfere its taste.
